Call for Proposals

CEN and the CT National Guard invite you to showcase your cybersecurity expertise by submitting a proposal for a breakout session at the 2026 Cyber Nutmeg conference.

 

The deadline to submit is August 7, 2026.

All speakers will receive a complimentary conference registration!

Breakout Sessions:

• Sessions are 50 minutes in duration (40 minute presentation, 10 minute Q&A)

• All "Attendee" speakers and panelists are provided a free event registration

• Vendor partners ("Sponsors") may submit a proposal at the Silver level - subject to approval. Gold and Platinum sponsors recieve a session, but still must submit their details via this portal.

• A classroom style meeting room, laptop, microphone and projector will be provided for each session

• Speaker moderators will be provided to conduct introductions and ensure timeliness

 

Session Topics:

All topics and session proposals will be carefully reviewed by the Cyber Nutmeg Committee. Consider pressing issues, recently resolved projects, or other concepts that should be shared with your peer community. There are no restrictions on session topic in order to be considered, but you can find common themes below to begin brainstorming.

Ideal for CISOs, IT leaders, administrators, municipal leadership, compliance professionals, and emergency management teams.

  • Threat Defense & Security Operations

Dive into the technical front lines of cybersecurity. This theme covers threat detection, incident response, identity security, infrastructure protection, security operations, and defensive technologies. Designed for security analysts, engineers, network administrators, SOC teams, and technical practitioners seeking hands-on strategies and actionable insights.

  • AI, Innovation & Cyber Futures

Discover how emerging technologies are shaping the future of cybersecurity. This theme explores artificial intelligence, cyber awareness, workforce development, emerging threats, and innovative security approaches impacting education, government, and public sector organizations. Perfect for attendees interested in forward-thinking ideas, evolving technologies, and the future of cyber defense.
